Pulling radiator

Sitting here in garage looking at what to mod next on my '16 KLR, I noticed the lower radiator mount tab is bent quite a bit. Had to have happened when my son was riding it up and down the street and laid it down on the left side after hitting wet leaves. That was pre Motec guards.

It's not leaking but bothers me it's bent and it occurred to me that's probably why I had so much trouble getting that left side cover to line up the bolts.

What is the best way to drain the coolant? Is there a drain plug or do I pull lower hose the messy way?

TIA

Ouch!!
There is a major ERROR in that video, at minute 4:35+.

Drain plug torque on that very short 6mm bolt w/gasket with the 8 or 10 mm hex head, should only be 5 to 6 ft lbs (60-72 inch pounds) Not 10 ft lbs!

Thanks for the info guys.

Went well. Easy bike to work on.

The mount is aluminum which bends back easy enough. I suppose that's good so it bends some without damage to the radiator.

Dodged a bullet on this one. Crash bars are well worth the money.

The left cover still a bit tricky to line up the bolts but better than before for sure.
