Well I was going to post some pics over in the other forum, but honestly, I just don't have the interest in contributing there any more. But before I post them here, any body have any objections? One of my favorite things about the other site was seeing the pictures other people take, but if that's a seal you guys would rather not break, no problem here.

But here's one for a small taste (now lets see if I remember how to do this).

I think this is the best shot I took all day. It's called "Sentimental Journey" and it's a B-17, the Flying Fortress. Very cool old bird.

Man, you're so lucky! I've always wanted to but I've never seen a B17 in flight. I bet it sounded awesome too. Thanks for sharing the pic. 8)

I have always enjoyed pics. (in the right enviorment)
If you like planes, old planes, we have glacier girl here in Middlesboro. It is a WWII plane they dug out of the ice in Greenland and completly restored. It took them several years to locate, dug out, and restore. A whole squadren landed there but couldn't fly out so they left the planes there for years until a guy got a group together to get it out.

It did sound good. Just something about an old prop driven plane.

Well hearing no negatives, here's some more shots from the day.

Here is the Red Baron planes "escorting" one of the skydivers down.

A B-52 bomber, up close and personal. The B-2 Stealth was there too, but none of my shots turned out all that great. Kind of like my Hawaii pictures of a whale. :D

This guy was nuts. He landed this Piper Cub on top of the truck while it was moving. They call it "The Midwest's Smallest Airport."

Shockwave - can you say THREE jet engines? (insert Tim Allen grunts here).

Another old bird - a C-47 Skytrain "Black Sparrow"

And the B-24 Liberator "Diamond Lil"

Tried to get the Nebraska Capitol in the background. For your Nebraska trivia, the Capitol is lovingly referred to here in Nebraska as "The Great (male anatomy) of the Plains".

This was very cool. An old P-51 Mustang flying with an F-16. Who would have thought a jet could fly that slow? IIRR, they called it the "Heritage Flight."

The Red Baron Stearman's.

The Navy Blue Angels. If you have ever thought about going to see them, do it. Well worth it.

Cool photos! I love those wwII planes. There is an air show in SLO this weekend and there were a couple of Hellcats (I think) fly by here a couple of times.
