I was gonna try to host a spring mini TD in March when my old lady was outta town but
it looks like that plan got fragged... She had to head outta town sooner (like this
month) all of a sudden due to family illness and probably wont be making the trip in
March that was planned....

However, keep your eyes peeled, if things change I'm going to post something short
notice.

At the very least, a barbeque and some riding for a 2-3 day weekend are in order.

There is only one NorCal Tech Daze. Hoping this fine event will happen again.

How about the Northern California tech days? Mark usually hosts one. Dave has in the past. Who else?

I'll try to stop by that place this week and talk to him about it.

I've been wondering if there was going to be another Nor-Cal Tech Daze up at Bug's place. I've been checking over at .net but haven't seen anything posted.

I'm going to Moab this year with SLO and Tom. If there is a Tech Day in Etna I hope I can make that one.

If you all need a Tech-day before Etna, I can host one if you like.

Hi,
I'd like to do a valve adjustment, and maybe some of the performance mods like the .22 mod. I've never been to a tech day, but it sounds like a great opportunity to dig into these projects. I'm in the east bay, and willing to travel a few hundred miles. Any excuse for a road trip!

Visiting Mark is always good. Including a tech day, even better.

I'm not familiar with how these tech days work. Are they open to everyone? I'd love to be a part of it, if I'm not overstepping my bounds!

Of course you are welcome. Most tech days are a single day event so plan your work schedule accordingly. Someone(s) will help you if you don't know how to do your maintenance or upgrade. After you learn you can assist another KLRista at a future tech day. When the tech day is named and posted (its own thread) you can post what you want to and if you need assistance. Do you have tools or will you need tools? Yada Yada Yada. Follow the posts and you will be good to go.

NorCal Tech Daze is an event like no other tech day. Multi-Day, food, camping, friendship, teching, riding, beautiful setting, great riding to and from, you will never meet better hosts. An event that will make a difference in your life.

Aint that the truth! I hope it goes down. This has become my yearly vacation destination. -Tom.

Mr. Miyagi,

Everyone is always welcome at our tech days. I will post a seperate thread for mine, a see if the dates are good for everyone. To give an idea of how big the NorCal Tech-daze is here is a photo from last year. Riders from So-Cal, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, made the quest.

I talked to one of the owners at the MotoShop in South SF about doing a KLR Tech Day there. He's going to talk to his partner about it. I'll let you know if anything comes of it.
If the MotoShop thing works out I'd start a new thread.

check their link to see the space.

Awesome! Wow, that photo is amazing! I'll keep an eye out then. There are two other guys here at my school who have KLRs as well, so hopefully we'll all be able to make it. Big or small, it sounds like a blast.

Good photo Mark. You forgot NorCal riders and China were represented. Then there is Tom who can't make up his mind whether he is SoCal or NorCal :)
