Well I'm an idiot.

I am taking the family to the Georgia aquarium on Friday and wanted to head up to the Mountains for Friday night thru Sunday for a bit of hiking and waterfall exploring.

Well I started checking all the major chains and its either "no room at the Inn" or over $100 a night. That's a bit over my budget. I was hoping for $89 max. :oops:

Do any of you know a good hotel, maybe mom & pop type, that's reasonable in either the GA mountains or maybe NC/TN near the border.

Oct is a bad time for N ga of Tn, I think they double their prices for the leaves changing colors.

You might try Ducktown Tn. we stayed in one there for around $50-$60. I don't remember the name but you can google Ducktown and find them.
