Morning comute, 6am, in the HOV lane I was passed by a KLR. It squashed my concerns about the KLR being able to keep up in traffic, not that I condon passing in a no passing, single walled in lane.

LOL, the KLR does pretty good keeping up with traffic. I have ridden 80 mph for more than 3 hours trying to get home...I passed a lot of cars...

oh just noticed, your in texas, land of speed...LOL...I forgot 80 is just barely keeping up there...I always did love driving trucks thru Texas, could make up a lot of time down there.

I think you'll end up hating the break in period, but once that's over it'll run like a scalded dog:animal0019: in typical traffic. I've done interestate speeds (around here 75mph) all day with no issues, day after day..

I haven't ridden one of the new models, but once you're up to 85ish on the older ones, you're running out of steam.. If you're running in this area all day, the KLR might not be the bike for you..:(

At 65mph, mine's running just fine, but when I reach up above 80, the bike isn't the happiest, and the windblast and light weight blows around the bike and rider.. Just sayin..
