This helmet works in two configurations with and without a visor so, if you spend more of your time on the road, you can take off the visor for comfort at speed. Otherwise, wear it as a traditional offroad helmet with the added safety of a polycarbonate faceshield that keeps roost, branches and rocks off your race. Snell and DOT approved, the helmet’s ventilation system keeps your head cool on even the hottest of days. With five intake and seven exhaust vents, you can feel the air moving over your skull as you ride along. A fully removable liner comes out easily and can be washed with warm, soapy water. Should the wearer happen to stack it big time and end up unconscious, trained medical personnel can easily remove the helmet thanks to Arai’s Emergency Cheek-Pad Release System. This design permits cheep pad removal BEFORE removing the rest of the helmet. This allows the attending physician greater control over an injured rider’s neck and significantly reduces the chance of cervical spine injury from the act of removing the helmet.
