This simple, patent-pending tool makes it easy to be sure your KLR’s front forks are parallel and in good condition after a crash and/or after a front end rebuild. To use the tool first, line up the “V-cups” on the fork tubes as close as possible to the lower triple clamp and tighten the adjustment knobs. Next, pass the ForkTRU tool through the spokes of the front wheel and line it up as closely as possible to the lower axle against the fork stanchions. From here, it will be easy to tell if your forks are incorrectly aligned. If the front end is true, you’re done, if not, you’ll have to loosen a few pinch bolts to get things sorted out.
The tool is useful on bikes with 27-62 diameter fork leg tubes that are within 140-220mm apart when measured on center.
