Taller windshield

After spending a few miles on my 2016, I feel like I am getting blasted pretty hard with wind. It feels like its being forced right into my neck. What are the benefits of having the taller windscreen? Does 4 extra inches on the windscreen make a big difference?

Yes. A huge difference.

I have the Dakar Baja 10 inch. It sends the wind blast to the top of my
helmet just where I want. Stretch up for fresh air, and in a slight slouch
my head is in the still pocket. Great for the rainy trips home from work too.

There's many brands/angles/tints available.
This was my third try. I'm 6 ft but all legs and a "normal" torso.

So many riders have tall bodies n' shorter legs, and many the opposite so
it's hard to say what will fit you.

Just came up with a new measurement in town for this topic.

I'm 35 inches from tailbone tip to the occipital lobe on the back of the skull.
For KLRistas only. It's our secret. Tom, could you toss in the lil' copyright
icon?, Mark typed sneakily.

This is my son, with whom I am well pleased." ----God

I'm running the Zero Gravity Touring. At 6'2" I think I'm gonna get the Puig clip on visor to help get the air above me more without going to a taller goofy looking screen.

Just pulled the trigger on a Zero Gravity touring light smoke.. 65 bucks off eBay and the famous but expensive KLR dash.$145.00.. You can adjust it anyway you want and very solid unlike some others... And I can mount the GPS or anything else up ft. There is a You Tube Video of the setup from Everride...

I bought the Kawasaki tall windshield, I'm 5 10 and it's "just ok", Hope it breaks soon so I can try something else.
Looking into options to run no windshield.

It is like none but I'm thinking about cutting the stocker down just enough to cover back side of gauges...

None of my past bikes had any windshield... I may like it better...

Taking off the windshield on my 2004 KLR works great. Zero turbulence around the helmet. Don't know if the late model KLRs are the same.

If it doesn't come with the vinyl mask, you can get it from ZG for $6.
