I'm only getting about 160....today it did it and I lifted the fuel cap and it still wouldn't run till I switched to reserve......is there sometimes more on one side of the tank than others? could that be what's happening?

Had to switch to reserve for first time on way back from TN. odometer indicated 228 and it took 4.8 gallons to refill completely.

Jeez, 160mi seems kinda short for normal driving. Are you doing lots of off road, or have you modified your gearing or carburetion? These could shorten tank mileage. There does wind up being unused fuel trapped on the right side of the tank, but you still should be doing better. I got 265 before reserve last time I clocked it.

freeway - gravel - back road twisties - city. On average 50 - 59 mpg depending on how much 70 to 75 mph freeway riding I do.
