Default Changing Fork Springs 2009 questions

Hi,
I am getting ready to install A Moab Adventure and then the Cogent Springs up front (no emulators at this time). Can someone help me with a couple of questions if they have done this before

Blue Locktight - Is there any place that I should not use it when reinstalling the forks. I am guessing the top fork cap thing should not have it but the rest should (pinch bolts etc).

Fork Oil - Does any know what the distance should be from the top of the fork to where I would fill with oil? I understand you hold the fork straight up and down and the manual says about how much to put but I was going to use the use a zip tie to figure out how much distance from the top until it touches oil. Or if you have put in the Cogent Springs and remember how much oil you used that would be helpful as well

Thank you and if you have any other info for me please feel free to share as I have never done this before...as if you cant tell

I didn't use loctite on anything when changing out springs. Not even on pinch bolts.. I used a little bit of silver never-seize on most everthing, though..

I wish I could help you with levels, but I installed Progressive LRossler springs and then tossed in some forgotten amount of ATF type F fluid.. I need to write things down so I don't have to look them up again..

I also have a MOAB rear shock, and it was a fantastic purchase!! It does everything perfectly, from droning down the Interstate and soaking up the little bumps to soaking up rocks and washed out sections of gravel.. It's like they're not there.. Great product!!

Just wish I could be more help..

In this subforum, look for a thread called Cogent Dynamics Suspension Package.

I tried to link to it, but I'm on my stupid Blackbaerry and it won't work.

It's by no means the absolute definitive 'what to do', but it may help you.

I can't remember the exact measurement but I remember it was near 8" from the top. I put the longer spacer in also with 10 wt oil. It has stiffened up pretty nice and reduced brake dive. I am pretty heavy (240lb) and do quite a bit of off road and have only bottomed out on some extreme woopty doos, otherwise it has worked out nicely.
