This is my method for my Goldwing.

Soak micro fiber cloth in warm water and let sit on windshield. After bugs are soft wash with micro fiber wash mitt and then dry and polish with clean micro fiber cloth.

The polish I use is 210 Cleaner & Polish. This is an aircraft grade polish recommended to me by a helicopter pilot. Google 210 polish and you'll find places to buy it.

Plexus is alright but it's pricey.

I would be reluctant to use any chemical on the plastic. Various plastics react differently. You may get it clean but you may remove a coating or create a haze. Ask how I know.

"It's a friggen motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you shit your pants every now and then. "
