If you haven't removed your decal yet, the hair dryer works great. I used it to remove the dealers stickers off of my KLR. I don't like giving free advertisement. I also used it years ago on my Toyota removing the TOYOTA tap off the tail gate.
Here is a crazy one. I was told by a dealer that they use peanut butter to take off stickers. The oil in the peanut butter soaks through the sticker deteriorating the glue. Just put the peanut butter on for a period of time (Unknown) then according to their scheme the sticker should come right off. Have not tried it yet nor do I know what brand of peanut butter works best (thought I would throw that in there before someone asked).
