The brake cylinder does look a little unprotected without it but I suppose it would take just the right crash to do damage, which is usually the case. Cheap protection IMO.
I fall in line with the others, I have one but can't tell you that it saved the day. It just goes along with all the other stuff I may not have needed. :ashamed0001:
And if your handy, you can make your own. Here's one that a friend from work made for me, it's made from high grade aluminum and I just polished it up. He has also made slotted ones that look awesome
What about something to replace the plastic guard over the rear brake fluid holder (I thought that was the master cylinder)??Not that I do any real off road riding, but I think a nice aluminum piece would look really good there.
I've got one very similar.....My boot tends to keep mine polished.
mebbe if I get bored I'll do a rear MC cover too.
