Question Luggage recommendation

I just bought an '09 and I was thinking about putting hard sidecases on it. I have Givi cases on my V-Strom--just wondering about pros and cons.anybody??

Pre-'08; I'm going with http://www.cycleracks.com rack and pannier set ("soft" luggage).

Already set up on KLR250; have only to mount cyclerack on KLR650 and the same bags fit as intended.

Looks like you can buy hardware to fit the KLR and use the Givi bags you have.....

If you are concerned about damaging your high priced bags, the JC Whitney / Sears option might work...

I was going to mention the same thing as VA.. The bags that were on my VStrom came from a KLR. They were the old style 36 liter bags and I bought them used. I'd think they'd work just fine on a KLR.

I've got an '09' as well, it's my commuter. After much consideration, I went with the Caribou Cases. They're the Pelican cases. If you don't mind them opening from the side, I would recommend them. Easy to install.

My KLR is black, so I got the gray cases. Lightens up the color and balances out the bike as well.

Also got the bar bag off of ebay. Fits over the crossbar of the handlebars and is the perfect place for my tire kit and a couple light sticks.
