Nelson Rigg CL850 bag help

Has anyone used these bags on their KLR and if so what do you think? I plan to take a few week long trips this summer.

Also if you have them do you use any racks or just throw them over? I was thinkin some kind of rack like the HT OSR rack.

thanks for the help

Re Nelson Riggs

I have 2 Nelson Rigg bags (not the throw over type though) and cannot say enough good things about them. Made really well and rain cover comes in handy!

Hey you are not too far from me (Yardley PA). I am looking for a used KLR... CL etc has not worked so far. If you know of any send me a note. Thanks.

Don't know of any local. I think there is a site called Auto Trader where you can select motorcycles and maybe even KLR. There should be some in there. KLR's are bought and sold all the time. I have seen them on ebay also. You shouldn't have to go to far. I think I saw one just the other day one ebay for about 2k or so.

My concern is the size. The CL850's are about 35L each. I don't want to buy them to big. I want to be able to sit on the thing and not be interfered with by the bags. Do you know of a place that sells them locally?

Gary

Revzilla in Philly stocks them I believe. Their web site has the 850's and several reviews.
