Local Find (Deal or Dud)

I am excited and hopefully will remain so after hearing from you folks

I found locally the following:

-Full Crash Guards with highway Pegs
-Real Skid Plate
-Tool Tube
-Brand new front and rear Dunlop Dual Sport tires
-Hard Panniers and Mounts
-Anti Vibration gadget for front fender

All for 500.00 cash. And his help installing it all on my KLR.

Deal or Dud?

If they are the stock Dunlops, you'd have to pay me to take them.
Tool Tubes cost practically nothing.
Skid Plate $100 new.
Anti-Vibe gadget?
Crash bars new $200-$250
Panniers+rack new $500-$800

Depends on who made it and the condition. If you know who made it, then you can check the new pricing. If it is happy trail stuff, the bags are the hard case aluminum, and it is all in good shape, the price is very good. If the bags are the plastic Givi like mine and all is in good shape, then it is a good deal, but not as much as if the bags were aluminum.

Another question is why did he take all this off his klr?

Price appears fair; especially if the tires are 606's.

You save considerably over new prices, and the installation help may be, well, "priceless!"

No rip-off in sight, as far as I can see.

Reason for selling? I imagine he sold the bike to someone who was not interested in the farkle suite available, at last not in paying for it.

It is all in great shape. The Klr is for sale and I asked him about his add ons. We are pulling it all straight from his bike to my bike.
All the parts are the USA made good stuff.

Here is a picture of his bike that I am getting all the accesories off of:

The tires are the 606's front and rear brand new.

Jump on it. Before he sobers up.

Actually, it sounds like a pretty good deal. Get before and after pictures, and doc the installation, sans the blue words. You'll get a bargain, documented for posterity.

Picking the good up on Saturday morning. About 80 miles from me one way. Will be installing all the parts in his shop, then riding home.

I posted in the Deep South forum re: the ride in the event anyone would like to ride along.
