Oil related engine failure poll

Has anyone had an oil related engine failure. This could mean the whole engine blew, or just parts were ruined like bearings, chains, clutches, ect. This is not KLR specific, but more wet clutch motorcycle specific.

Hope this is what ya wanted Slaghammer

Hard to imagine that THIS THREAD did NOT EXPLODE in 2008-2009.

But, a WET clutch has NOTHING to do with oil related engine failure, IMO.

If this involves piston issues then grab a chair!!!!

I have done maybe 30 big bores now and I would say maybe a handfull didn't need it due to oil useages.

As PD suggested, after the 08's came out.....all hell broke loose for pistons and oil drinking. It has slowed somewhat but it's still there.

Maybe people are just happy either filling it up all the time or they just sell her off and move on....??
