58,000 miles and no flats

And yesterday, two holes at once. Tubeless tires / rims would have had me on my way in very little time. Wheel Works in So Cal will seal spoke rims for running tubeless tires. WHAT IF you were to run tubes on these treated wheels, had a flat, then repaired the tire on the road with a tubeless tire repair kit ie glue and strips ? Would a tube type tire hold air at the bead ? Just tossing this out for thoughts. And yeah, I know, just learn to replace the tube myself. Lot less time and hassle if a " plug " would work to get you home. :?: :?:

this thing keeps logging me out. :m0066

let me try it again.

the main problem with your idea is getting the valve stem to seal.

maybe you "need" some of these wheels:

Good point Rob. Didnt think about that. I'm sure those wheels are BIG bucks but just for fun, are they available for us ?

anything is possible. those are from woodys wheel works. that's an aprilia rim shell with a ktm center hub and the super cross lace pattern on the spokes. i'd guess that they are $1200-$1500 for a set? :shock:

and they would work real well until you bashed the rim off the side of a rock.
