Who Has The Headlight/Turnsignal Upgrade Switch?

Not the wiring harness... I already have that. The one where you can turn off your lights from the switch.... Gotta have that next!

How is the wiring/install? Good instructions? Plug N Play?

Reports.... need reports....

Talk 2 me.

Don't know if either of them have the one that turns the light off. I think Biker Scout posted he has the upgraded switch, and if I remember correctly, Dude has the upgraded switch that has the pass light and the push to cancel turn signal. You might ask one of them if theirs turns the light off also...Doug

It is a simple plug and play install. You will also need the mirror/choke lever relocation bracket. I got the stuff from Fred at arrowhead. The push to cancel turn signal switch was the main reason i got it, but the ability to turn off the headlight is nice too. It also has the flash to pass switch. You can turn the headlight before you turn the ignition off and before you start up, giving full power when starting; it is also good when off road too where you don't really need the light on saving power for the radiator fan (at least when i ride off road it seems the fan is constantly on).

Thanks guys. Plugnplay is my way. My radiator fan hums alot offroad too. Seems to be normal for them. So I need a mirror relocation bracket and choke thingamabob. Is the bracket for both one and the same?

Yes, the bracket has both the mirror and choke relocation. I think Dual Star has one that is only for the mirror though so don't get that one. KLR650.com or Arrowhead has what you want.

Great! Thanks for the imput.

Hey Dude.... I c u are in MT. Are you fairly isolated there in terms of other KLR's? Seems like there would be alot of DS's out there. Of course your winters would preclude much riding other than summer..... right?

I've seen quite a few KLR's here in missoula, at least 6-8 others. I don't think i have seen many on the forums though. The riders i have met all seem to be pretty independent though, not much into riding in groups, which is understandable since i always want to go places most motorcycle riders won't go. It's still pretty much a cruiser world in the summer up here though, lots of chrome and loud pipes.

Hey X6,
I've riden in every month of the year up here. Right now my KLR is stuck in the garage with all of our stuff from the crawlspace widged in around it or I'd be riding it right now. You can check out the days of the year I've riden here:
http://www.klr-650.com/ride.html

I've riden down to 15 degrees F, while going 75mph for a windchill of -13.5 degrees F...brrrrr...Doug
