side car

are there people who have exprience with a sidecar mounted to a klr?
where can i get the sub frame to mount the sidecar to or is it a simple diy job?

Damn! At just under $6K for the side car, and $700+ for the frame modification to mount it, you could buy a brand new 2013 KLR 650 and keep your current bike as an extra for the second person to ride... and I'm thinking the resale value on the current bike isn't going to appreciate anywhere near that investment.

That's what I thought also. I do still have my eye out for a used sidecar that maybe I could get on the cheap. Or a Ural rig.

i bought my side car for 15 euro
and the klr for 150
so no way that i buy a subframe for that kind of money

I'm no expert on exchange rates, but the euro isn't THAT far off from the US dollar...

yes i'm sure of the numbers
i'm always looking for bargains.
there is lots of work to do before they are on the road though.
i'm now driving a honda cx 500 bought it for 50 euro paid 160 for cleaning and adjusting the carbs though, but it is still a cheap bike.

by the way how can i ad a smiley?
