Lost Gas Tank Puck... Now What?

Is there a source for replacement fuel tank/frame isolator pucks? Is there a MacGuyver version floating out there?

Right now, I've got these little black rubber pucks that come off a paper delivery truck. It has something to do with their pallets. Anyway, it's almost the correct size. But before I try and figure out a way to shave off a 1/2" all the way around, I was wondering if anybody else has come up with a solution in the meantime?

That was too easy.

Edit: Well, OK then... they want $8.00 to ship?!?! Please, $1.50 tops. I'll work my magic with the rubber pucks I can pick up off the street every Wednesday.

You might take that part number to a local dealer. They might bring it in and save the shipping cost. Or get a bunch of oil filters from Ron Ayers while your at it to make it worth it.

Or use the hockey puck

Yeah, I just might see if the local dealer has any in stock next time I'm up that way.

I even had my pucks glued in and everything. I've got no idea where I lost just one.

I about lost one a while back, I superglued it back on and it is staying. That is a kind of a faulty design for something that saves you from wearing a hole in the bottom of your tank!!

Check the local dealer, if it costs too much there let me know and I will send you one.

I recall someone using a roll of electrical tape in a pinch.
