Seafoam Additive: Gas & Oil

I seem to recall that there was concern that the Seafoam additive might be harmful to the KLR clutches if it was added to the engine oil, so....I called them.

I spoke with "Dick" who assurred me that the product was 100% petroleum and totally harmless tt all internal engine and transmission componants. We discussed the fact that the KLR shared the same oil with both the engine and transmission.

Dick again assurred me that the product was safe and acted as a cleansing agent as well as an obsorber of moisture.

Seafoam yes. Not so sure about other brands however. Some specifically prohibit it in wet sumps.

Seafoam is awesome.
