My doohickey tools arrived from Fred in today's mail. The 1 1/4 inch wrench and the rotor puller. The wrench ani't zackly purdy, but after all it's for a KLR. The wrench is a Thorsen, and for 25 bucks I couldn't go to H.F and buy a cheapy then pay to have it heated and bent to do the job for even close to that money. Anyhow, back to the story. After the Holidays when I get my doohickey done, the tools will be available for loan out.
Bill you are representative of the KLR spirit. There seems to be multiple Doo tool sets out there already. I tried to get someone to organize them and advertise them so newbies don't have to spend the money on the puchase. A folder or sticky would to the trick if we could get that started.
I am in need of LOANER wrench for doing the doohickey thing. I have the puller but need a wrench. Anyone willing to loan me the wrech I will pay shipping both ways or pass the wrench and my puller alon to the next needy KLR rider. Thanks Jim Dickinson. You can contact me at jdickinson37@suddenlink.com :h0003
I have both the puller and dog leg wrench to hold the rotor. I am happy to share. Email me if someone in your end of the country does not respond so as to save you some U.P.S. $$ This means that there may be some loaners closer.
I could use the tools and will pay shipping both ways or send them to the next person who needs them. I am in north Alabama. Thank you swilson5597@att.net
I have all my new parts for the Doo upgrade but am looking to see if I can find some loaner tools before I go out and buy a set. I'm in the Capital District of NY but am willing to pay for shipping if anyone is ok with just loaning a set. Thanks and new to the site I am looking forward to getting and giving some much needed help.
