Brake Line Mod Question

I'll be replacing my brake lines soon, and I'll be switching to stainless. But I've heard that one of the stainless brake line companies' - front brake line is almost too short, and that it's a tough fit. Do any of you guys/gals know which company sells the short version? That's the one I won't buy..

Thanks

Not sure. I just replaced both front and rear with Gaffer lines. They were actually a smidge longer than the stock.

TPI, one of the sponsers here sells a set of SS brake lines for about the same price a one of the gafflers. I have them on my bike.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

I have a Galfer SS front line that is way shorter than stock. I had to take a totally different path to route it but it works fine. It's been on there a while, I think about a year and a half. Maybe the newer ones are longer... don't know.

More fool stabilizer, please.

Oh crap. My apologies. I just went and looked at my brake lines and they are RUSSELs! Sorry for the confusion.

I got the ones on special (Edelbrock) from KLR650.com. The pair for $60 can't be beat & they work fine.

Gafler makes a shorter line for the front that has to be routed differently but works just fine. They made it shorter to help eliminate line flex.

Thanks for the replys. Lengthwise, it seems to be a crap shoot no matter who I get the brake lines from.
I'll just deal with whatever they send me..

If it's a bit shorter, just route it lower behind the faring, instead of along the handlebar. Works fine. I've done both.

SS galfer

I'm running Galfer SS front and rear, both were just a tad bit longer than stock! Worked fine. Been on now for two years.
