Anyone ever have this problem?

I had purchased a universal tank bag for my KLR, but when I had the tank bag on the tank the motorcycle wouldn't start. However, once I removed the tank bag, the motorcycle would start/run.

Anyone ever have this problem?

My guess is that if the filler cap on the fuel tank is covered by the bag, it blocks a vent or something...

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sound possible, especially with the tank low on fuel. Mine moans quite a bit after shutting down with low fuel on board.

I use the Kawasaki bag and love it because I can fill up without removing the bag.

I have a Wolfman that covers the cap and have never experienced this. I have one of those whistling caps, maybe that is what keeps mine functioning. In case you don't know what I mean by whistling, some caps do it some don't and it's also random. Just a fairly quiet whistle like it's venting or something. Could last one minute or five minutes.

I've never looked closely at the cap, but I'm sure somebody on here or on net has and maybe knows about a small vent hole or something that could be plugged up.
