Ok, I agree it was a poorly crafted posting and I'll try to explain.

On Page #1, post #1, modification #7, I had installed a oil flow reducer into the 6:00 position of the Oil Filter Cap. That oil Outlet, feeds the crankshaft with supposedly freshly filtered oil.
Mod#7 was an orifice drilled #43 / .089inch / 2.26mm installed into the filter cap, at 67,234 miles.
Pictures can be found on Page #3, post #29, Last two (2) pics.

During my experimenting and testing, I had confirmed my suspicions, at least in my own mind, that there is a 'fair Volume' of un-filtered oil which squeezes between the filter cap and the 2 outlets holes.
6:00 position to the crankshaft and 11:00 position to the cams and transmission shafts.
So inspite of my reducer installed into the filter cap, I still had more Volume of oil going to the crankshaft than I deemed Necessary!
Everybody still understanding? I hope?

Ok, so Mod #8, was an orifice (Fastenall #80742, Allen Drive, 1/16th inch Brass pipe plug), drilled #43 / .089inch / 2.26mm.
Installed into Clutch Cover crank oil port at the 6:00 position, at 69,005 miles, sometime between Feb. and May of this year.

Mod #9, was to change Orifice size Down to a #44 drill /.086inch / 2.18mm.
Installed into Clutch Cover crank oil port at the 6:00 position, at 74,133 miles on 10-04-2014.
Mod#9, was explained on Page26 / Post#258 in Oil Pressure, How much ya' got?http://www.klrforum.com/showthread.php?t=15458&page=26

I think my mileage is just under or just over 75,000 miles. (Its in the shed.)
I'll say, 'fairly well tested'. Sorry, I can't do pics, I've relied on friends for the few you have seen.
Happy New Year to Everybody.

Happy New Year,
Hope everybody enjoyed the Day.

So, It took some 'back-tracking', but I did find in 'Oil Pressure, How much ya' got?', my description of Mod #8. I had hoped that when Tom S. visited Lander, WY in July, that we would have time enough to pull my filter cap and take a picture. Sorry, it didn't happen.

So go to here, Page #25, Post #243, dated 08-06-2014. Even this post was 3-4 months LATE. Sorry, No Pics! http://www.klrforum.com/showthread.php?t=15458&page=25

If one has not already found it, best to check-out the 'latest modification' in "Oil Pressure, How much ya' got".
http://www.klrforum.com/showthread.php?t=15458&page=42

And I still have one more possible modification to go. The secondary crankshaft oil Filter, in the oil pocket, to keep the crumbs out.
I'm fiddling with it.

16,570 viewings as of Jan. 2, 2016.
9,226 visits since Dec. 31, 2014 tally of 7,344.

I hope that some of you have taken advantage of at least some of the info supplied.
And maybe even fitted the pressure gauge or warning light, that you had been wishing was standard equipment.

Photobombed

This does kind of suck to discover links from other threads, to photobombed threads.

I arrived here via "Who's On-line", and where they were viewing.

I am Not asking that any moderator fix it. Just making note of it. I wish that PhotoBucket had Never given their service for Free, for any time at all!

I've ALWAYS been a PAYING member of Photobucket, but the firm has raided my archive just like all the rest (restricted third-party hosting). I am told my existing subscription will be cancelled when expired, and then I'll be expected to pay $ 400 for the privilege of 3d party hosting.

Regrettably, when that event occurs, this forum will be denied my images from Photobucket for all time; I wouldn't pay $ 400/year to put my pictures in the Louvre.

Easy fix, Paul. I just copied the posts I'd already fixed.

Thanks Tom. I did see the post when you were in the middle of the process.

But you and other moderators can not be expected to spend your time revisiting old threads trying to repair the loss created by PhotoBucket.

We all just have to move onward and hope some newer members take and share pics of their projects.

Has anyone else added an oil pressure light or gauge with the aid of these threads?
