dual headlights

Who has done one or another of the dual headlight setups for their KLR? I really like the dual 4" at Baja Designs - my Land Rover DNA is showing. But this begs the questions:
1). what else has to change electrically speaking, when you go up to big lights like this
2). what do you lose (in the fairing/dash) when you switch over
3). is it worth it in the long run if you are just a standard commuter and weekend trail rider?

Thanks for the expert-ease...
Ryan

Dual head lights would be sweet.
I saw one on a KLR somewhere but I can't find it anymore.

I wouldn't mind going with a single round headlight.

Why not try to adapt the light system off of the Honda Ruckus??

Well, that's an idea - I didn't know that little bugger existed. My daughter needs one of those. Thanks.

My wife has a Ruckus. I think it would be a possible swap. The Ruckus only has a 30 watt electrical supply so the KLR should be able to run the lights. Check fleabay for a used set. I know that there are a few sites that are devoted to the Ruckus and modifying them. One of the mods they do is swapping headlights. Just my $.02.

So, did anyone ever do anthing like this?
I bought a set of the Dominator Dual 4" on flyncycle.com and am going to try to make it work. I guess they are wired to run both at the same time, which I think will not work due to not enough output from the stator...

But, what If I did one light on at a time, one hi and one low. Think that might work???
