Switching to Reserve Fuel
1999 KLR with 38,000 miles;
I used to have a range of 200 miles or more before I switched to reserve; now at about 130-150 miles I cannot switch fast enough before the bike completely cuts off! After I pull over, keep the valve on reserve, and turn the bike over 5-10 times it will start again. Then the bike will only take 2-3 gallons not the usual 4-5 gallons after switching to reserve. So it appears my bike is getting 50-55 mpg.
I guess it is vacuum or tank breather problem?
