simple doohickey question

Are the magneto gaskets the only gaskets I need to change out the doo? Other than that I should only need the doohicky, spring, bolt, rotor puller, and rotor wrench right?

The gaskets shouldn't need replaced if you take them off slow.I still have the same gaskets on both klrs and have removed one at least twice.Clean the surfaces good before replacing.I use a light coat off grease on both surfaces to help seal and hold the gaskets in place,19,000 miles on the one and no problems

Yes the inner and outter left side case gaskets are the ones. Like Mike says "most" of the time you can re-use the old gaskets. I try to have them on hand just incase.

Leave a few of the bolts in by a few threads, meaning take them almost all the way out, but not completely. We found tapping the cases with a rubber mallet helps work the cases loose and you should have no problem with the gaskets. There will be some residual gasket material here and there, just use something plastic to scrape this material off so the existing gasket can have a good seal. Daddyjoe, is the one that pointed out using something plastic to scrape with.

I cleaned the residue off with a Scotch Brite pad. Worked very well.
