Hey all, new to forum,
I have read much about the advantages of going with a 16t front sprocket and am tempted to do so to enjoy the benefits of lowering my RPMs on the highway. However at the other end I lose much needed torque from my 1st & 2nd gears for the trails.
Forgive me now if this is a stupid question as I have no experience with internal tranny mods... but has anyone just changed out their 5th gear alone which would achieve the benefits I am seeking from the 16t sprocket without affecting gears 1-4? Is this possible?
Goo ideal, but I don't think you will find a gear to fit. Although I may be wrong and someone with tranny expertise will come up with one and make a small fortune selling them.
Love my 16T front sprocket, although I don't have to worry about trail riding, the loss in torque is not as big an issue with me.
