dyno jet kit installed

would like to get some input I just installed a dyno jet kit on my 1993 klr 650 the stock main was 145 but the kit required for me to do a stage 1 as I only installed an slip on dg exhaust which they required a 140 main it seems to idel nice and rev good ,just woundering if anyone out there has put in the same kit and what did they find that the best results was my air intake is stock and clean not oiled. basically I would like to know if stage 1 is fine or I should go with the stage 2 can someone let me know please thanks.

Hi Shawn I did dynojet stage one it was fine a little extra bottom end ,then the stock muffler mod better, then full stage 2 with 2 in holes in the air box better ,set the air jet at 3-1/2 turns ,some may not agree on that ! Then the 685 much better the mike mod better and smoother my 05 is one sweet runner ,welcome to the power trail .

I have the Dyno Jet kit too. Apparently (acording to a guru I trust), the needle is pretty good but the jets that come with the kit are way too rich. Keep in mind that the Keihin jet numbers are different than the Dyno Jet jet numbers (google it and you should find the crossover chart).

Anyhow, for my setup; stock engine, FMF Q4, no snorkle, L-mod and twin air, he recommended a 142.5 Keihin jet. 2 turns out on the fuel screw. I'm at 1500' elevation.

I'm no jetting expert but the fellow that gave me the specs is. Take it for what its worth.
