air in front shocks

can any one tell me how much oil and air goes in the font forks of an 93 klr 650 some say no air but I see the air valves there ,I would greatly appereate it if some one can help me out

According to Clymer (recommended service manual), 188-192 mm fork tube oil level (from top edge of inner tube), Kayaba G-10 10-weight fork oil (or equivalent).

Standard fork air pressure: Atmospheric. Rough road/heavy load: Well, the factory STILL recommends atmospheric pressure, providing a Schrader valve to bleed off pressure developed through heat-of-friction and compression from suspension flexing on bumpy roads. A few PSI might stiffen up the front end if desirable, IMHO; your call!

My '03 forks still have the factory stickers that specify 35psi max. I run 8 psi in my '11 gen2 which I added the air valves to. 10000 miles so far and no leaks.
