Aesthetic body modifications

I recently purchased an 08 KLR650 in the faster green color. I was wondering if I would have legal/performance issues removing the front fender. I don't like it much and I think it would look better without it.

I also want to get ride of that ugly dark grey plasitc that dangles under the rear tail light. I've heard of people relocating the license directly below the rear tail light on top of the fender. Are there any legal/performance issues that go along with that?

All-in-all, its been a great bike and I can't wait to finish breaking it in.

only performance issue is that you & your bike are going to get a lot dirtier & wetter! Keep the bike clean & dry, muck can encourage rust.

on the license plate, you MAY have an issue, depending on how your local police are about such things. but if you have a light on it, and it is clearly visible from the rear, I doubt you'll have any problems with it.
