The stock battery keeps on tickin!!

I'm not even a wannabe maintenance person and this is the second time my battery has went dead due to water levels. First time was back in my newb days when the bike was dropped a lot, I assume the water seeped out during some of those incidents. This time, I believe it just evaporated due to the severe heat around here the last 3 weeks and it was in dire need of water. Both times I refilled and the battery is still running strong. Pretty amazing if you ask me. One of these days I'll get a maintenance free one, but no hurry at this point.

Yeah I am bad about not checking the battery, as they say, 'out of site, out of mind'.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

The stock battery on mine lasted almost two years and 19,000 miles before finally giving in.I filled it several times in that two years to keep on ticking, finally giving in last month.Went with an odyssy. nice not having to keep up with continually checking for water level
