I got the old pads out and the iinner one in place but I can't get enough room to get the outer pad over the pins. Any ideas?

When it comes to repairing stuff they are all like that. Some times you never get the opportunity to do it again, which can be good. Most times for me the second time is still a learning curve because I forgot what I learned the first time around.
