04 lkr 650 kickstand saftey switch

what is the best way to bypass this switch? remove everything or just disconnect the cable ect. i ride the crap out of this bike off road and dont need this cable not returning problem when starting and puting in gear to go. thanks for any tips.

Other views will differ but I found removing the cable to be the easiest way. However, if your counting calories and think 1lb will make a diffrence then by all means strip the POS off the bike soder the two wires together and forget about it. While your at it might as well get the clutch switch too. :-)

i dont have it a part yet which two wires? and do they have to be connected. thanks for your help

Heres my post on removing the switch.

You will see the wires coming up from the switch to a connector. I just use a short piece of wire with the correct ends and loop into the connector at the bike end, not the switch end. The completes the loop and you don't have to worry about cutting and soldering. I think it is two male connectors that you will need.
