Dry weight 386 lbs for a 2008

Dry Weight 337 lbs. for a 2006

Would attribute the weight to new fairing, larger brakes and calipers, dual engine balancer, Stainless exhaust, denser seat foam...all those "LITTLE" things add up some. I got to ride my buddies new 08 yesterday on our afternoon ride and I will be selling my 07 and picking up a new 08. They are that much better as far as vibration, torque at the bottom end and stability. Yes, this is my opinioin, and that is all that matters. So soon as I get my list of mods and stuff together, I will put my 07 up for sale. I was extremely impressed with the 08, I really don't see the lil bit of extra weight being an issue.

A good review

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

The real difference in weight is only about 15 pounds. The puplished weight for the older KLR's was very optimistic. The published weight for the 08's is realistic.
