Turn signals

Greetings from a newbie. I really want to update my turn signals on my 2004 by going to clear or smoked lenses and amber bulbs (to eliminate the ugly orange on my red and black bike). I have searched long and hard and cannot seem to find replacement lenses, as I prefer to keep my large turn signals. I believe they measure 2 7/8ths dia, but the measurement is not exact. I do not know if the Gen 2 would fit, and really do not want to pay the dealer price for OEM's. I just think that there have to be aftermarket kits for this that are affordable (cheap).

Any suggestions.

Thanks for your support!

I'm not aware of any clear replacement lens. Smoked I wouldn't use because you don't see them as well.

I've got a red 2004 too. When I'm on the bike I don't notice the colour of the signals.

You might try the 48-LED panels I posted in Simple, Cheap & Easy. klr4evr's experience with regards replacements matches mine. I doubt anyone makes DOT approved white lenses.

The reason I suggest trying those panels is that they change the look of the lights and allow the front lights to be used as combination (always on) running lights & signals. The bright amber lights look different (I think better) than the unlit ones.

Not saying you'll like the effect but one of the only options of which I'm aware.
