Put ya a 16 tooth front on. will drop you @500 RPMS over the stock 15. I loved the 16 on mine, but we do a lot of hills and back country and I had to stay in lower gears all the time so I put the 15 back on. If you are doing mainly highways to work I think you would like it.

Yup, 16T front sprocket is the way to go. Stock chain length works and it's easier to swap out.

go to www.klr650.com

or www.arrowheadmotorsports.com

usually about 20 bucks plus a lil shipping. Make sure you do get it for the correct year. The earlier versions used a two bolt mount while the newer bikes use a single large nut and locking tab to secure the sprocket.

get you an account at photobucket or someplace like that and upload your pics there. then you click on image below the pic and just paste it here in your reply or thread...set photo size to 1xxx setting so nice large pics can be seen...if you search my threads I have a couple of posts on how to do that..

DXKLR, question for you. If I get the 14t front for my 07 will the stock chain work or will I need to remove a link? I am thinking about ordering a 14 and 16 just to try them both out to get a feel for it and if the stock chain works for both then In just a few minutes I will have a REALLY versatile bike. Thanks.

ohh and if I could find a 10 or 12 tooth I could lower my bike, put some neons on it and turn it into a DRIFTER! hahah
