Lowering Links and Center Stand

So my 1.5" lowering suspension links and center stand came today. Installed the center stand easy enough. That should make chain maintenance and tire work a breeze. Problem is I don't have a wrench to fit the nut holding the suspension links on. Crap. I may have to blow off class to get this done. Also don't have any moly grease to put in the needle bearings. Anyone recommend a particular brand, synthetic/non, etc?

Also, if anyone has done this mod before I could use some insight. The center stand comes w/ four washers to use, "if needed," between the frame and center stand on the right side of the bike. I just barely couldn't squeeze a washer in so I left them out. I can't imagine why they would give me two for each bolt. Should I have tried harder to get one of these in on each bolt or can I just use locktite not worry about it? The last thing I want is to lose my footpegs.

So, the center stand I just put on is for bikes w/ the 1.5" lowering links. When the stand is down, the bike still sits on the rear wheel b/c the links aren't yet installed. Will this be a problem when installing the links? What I mean is, does the rear wheel need to be off the ground to put them on? If so, I'm not sure my girlfriend is going to be able to lift the rear of the bike for more than 30 seconds. LIFT! LIFT! Maybe it'll be an exercise in speed wrenching... I'll let you know how it goes.

BTW, I'm NOT mechanically inclined and these may seem like ridiculously trivial questions to some. The bottom line is that I'd like to keep this bike away from the mechanic to save some dough and become intimately familiar with it. No, not that intimate. You're sick. Get your mind out of the gutter and give me some advice.

Well that didn't go according to plan. I couldn't even get started on the suspension links. The freakin bolts holding them on must be torqued to 72ft tons, not 72 ft lbs. Because I don't have a breaker bar or a 22mm socket, I had to use a 12 in. crescent wrench. This was a son of a gun b/c the rear tire and center-stand were in the way. It looks like there are some rubber washers that are making it so tough to turn this nut. I could be wrong. Anyone know what's going on here besides me not having the right tools for the job?

I think it is a matter of having the right tools. As I remember the nut holding the dog bone (link) is not loctite coated and there isn't any rubber washer in there. If you can't get the right tools maybe you can use a vice grip on the bolt from the left side while you torque the right nut off. As for grease I simply use anti sieze in there. But I disassemble mine every 2,000 mi to reapply and check the bearings.
