Who Sells This Stand???

My brother bought an 03 KLR on the weekend and it has this center stand on it. The owner said it came from Dual Star but if I check their website the stand they are selling looks nothing like this. I have a center stand on one of my own bikes but like this one a lot more. The way the assist foot is positioned functions as a third point when the stand is down. My stand doesn't do that and allows my bike to pivot on the stand. If I add my luggage to the bike the back wheel goes to the ground.

Yes sir, that is definately the Dual Star center stand, but one of the older ones. The fourth Gen. ones that are out do not have the assist bar, which is a shame cause I sure like that one you have shown.
If you look at the pics on dual star and this one you will see they are identical in make, except for the obvious lack of the foot assist.
Here is one from whitehorse that is almost identical:

Seems to me that Dual Star took a step backwards when they stopped making this. Thanks for your insight.

The stand I have is similar to the one you linked. You will notice however when the stand is down it does not have three point contact and the bike will rock.

Hey! The bike is at my place. Wonder if my brother would notice if I switched them.

I doubt he would ever know....evil laff....
You could also weld a tab to the bottom of the other stand I linked and make it a 3 point.

If memory serves, I called Dual-Star this year to inquire about the picture of the centerstand not having an assist bar, the operator on duty told me the centerstand they sell does have an assist bar that does not interfere with the kickstand but they do not show a picture of it on the web-site for fear of having it knocked off by competitors, you might want to give them a call to see if that's the case, I ended up ordering from TPI, I believe there was a wait on the dual-star units when I called.

I've got the Whitehorse stand. Works fine. (2005) Also have their engine guard/highway pegs. Also work ok, but don't seem as well built as the stand.
