How long did it take you? I've been procrastinating doing for a while especially since it's about 40*F in the garage.

It took a total of about 3 1/2 hours however the bike was down about a week because my vendor sent me the wrong flywheel puller.

Well, after procrastinating for many years, I got the doo done with the help of DXKLR and the eagle mikes internet instructions. If I had been more thorough with my reading of eagle mikes instructions i wouldn't have had to call him but Mike didn't mind returning my call ASAP and walking me through my no-start condition after the doo. 93-95 rotor bolts can't be torqued to 135ft lbs or the starter gear will not spin freely. It was clear in his instructions with his previous experience. Eagle mike is THE MAN. Thanks DX too for your guidance. DOO finally DONE.

Thanks for the heads up on the torque spec for the 93-95 rotor bolts Paulo, I need to add this information to my growing KLR binder and list of torque specs. Congrats on getting it all done and put back together.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Is there a consensus on which spring is better? The new torsion spring or the conventional coil spring?
