Valve Stem

Seems my rear valve stem is letting air leak out, is their a tool to tighten the inner portions of the valve stem or do i need to replace the whole valve stem?

Seems as though the valve is not sealing properly...

You gotta replace the whole inner tube. Duh, I can't read, you can replace or tighten the valve stem with the tool in the next post.

Are you talking about at the point where the air goes in? If so there is a tool for that. It may be on the end of your valve cap.

Yes, the point where the air goes in, its a very slow leak. My valve cap is plastic, not like the ones pictured. Do you know where I can get those?

Thanks!

Some auto parts stores will have some but not like the nice ones in the above pic. Try NAPA auto parts

Any auto parts store, WalMart, etc. Might have better luck in WM near the bicycle tubes/tires.

I saw that "T" tool at NAPA yesterday for $4. I carry one in my truck tool bag but have never used anything except the core tool. The "T" design makes it difficult to use on bicycles because of the spokes. Don't know about the KLR.

The small handle will actually pull out with a lil effort, well mine did anyway, can't say I am sure they are all built the same.
