Tall windshield and gel seat. Worth it?

Are these mods worth the money in terms of increased ride comfort?

Have done neither...but have heard that the tall windshield kills mileage.

I am interested in the seat or a seat upgrade also. Be interested to see what folks say.

Take care

Can't speak for the gel seat. But have read that the gel seat is a nice improvement over the stock. There's a do-it-yourself kit. Have considered trying it. Check out- www.dual-star.com.

I'm 6'2" and the stock windsheild caused to much buffeting for me. I have the tall (9" over) Sheild on now and really like it. Can't tell that it has caused any problems in handling. It keeps the bugs off and helps a lot if riding in rain.
Hope this helps.

I went with a tall windshield and it didn't last long for me, the buffeting was really bad and I just couldn't get used to it. I've heard others really like them so it really depends on the individual.

For a seat, I went with the Corbin and have no complaints at all. The downside I've heard of with gel is that it holds heat and transfers it to your butt. True or not, I can't say but I didn't want to take a chance as my butt doesn't like heat.

I have a tall windshield that whistles. I was hoping for one that sings but oh well.
Seriously annoying, however I do like the wind break. I'm 5,7
