Upgrades...

Progressive Fork Springs/20 wt Bel-Ray Fork Oil
MSM 7.4 KG http://multisurfacemotorcycling.com/...ts/klrprod.htm
Michelin Anakee front and rear
EBC Brake Pads front and rear
Galfer rear SS brake line...

Noticeable difference right from when when I sat down, no give or sag as was the case stock... This thing is STIFF...but perfect for my 240 ish 6' 6" frame.

Ran around the block multiple times to get the form oil off the tires...and ensure i was all tightened up. Feels good.

Ride to work tomorrow will tell.

Doohicky and oil screen check next weekend. OOD Duty on Sunday so I gotta slam through it Friday night and Saturday...or I don't ride to work/duty Sunday.

Sean

What did you use to compress the OEM spring to remove it? I do think I am going to order that 7.4 spring for mine too.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Took it to a dealership in town... $70 and they stated they under quoted me, oh well.

I wasn't feeling qualified to mess with it, and for the $$ they were done quickly.

What a difference in the ride! I can "feel" everything on the bike now, and the Anakees are much quieter then the old stock knobby's. I did not really push it on turns etc, was dark and still a bit wet here after the storms we had on the east coast. But from the initial feel, it is MUCH improved over the stuck tires/shocks/fork springs.

Didn't want to break the bike at 0530...

Doohicky is this weekend - as well as checking and cleaning the oil screen under the water pump. Then I am done for a spell until i get a hydraulic clutch and new hand guards.

Just found this (and they have a ton of other neat stuff)... Would like to have saved the $70.

Oh well.

lol...deal...But I gotta check with my buddy and make sure he doesn't already have a set, though I am doubting it, and if not, I'll have to have the compressors. I despise paying someone to do something I can do myself. But I am cheap too...LOL
