Whistling Windsheild

Hi all,
I just replaced the stock windscreen with a tall unit from 650 KLR and after a wind speed of about 45 or so there is an annoying whistle that has occurred. Has any one else experienced this? Any easy remedies? I sure like the wind protection but the noise is driving me crazy on the road.

Welcome aboard dolickc.......I actually cut my OEM down about half. I have not heard many reports from people that like the taller windshields... Some do, but not many. It just creates too much turbulance up around the helmet. I figure if I am going to wear a full faced helmet anyways, why not be comfortable, so now the wind just hits me in the chest area and doesn't cause me headaches with the helmet bobbling all over the place.

Thanks for the "welcome" dxklr, I have read that some say that the buffetting is bad but I don;t have that problem and it's fairly comfortable behind that screen. I'm going to try putting a "fairing bag" on it to see if it breaks up the wind pattern enough to stop the whistle. That's all I can think of. I would hate at this point to cut it down. I'm heading up the Dempster later this summer and the bug protection will be welcome I'm sure.
