There are some aftermarket covers out there, but the old KLR600 cover looks good to me with a much smaller profile and a half number plate above the light. You can probably do a search for Acerbis, I think they have some shrouds.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Also Interested

I would also be interested in this type of a modification. Does anyone have any pictures of a KLR with a different front piece?

I'm also very interested in something like this. I am assuming a mod like this would also allow the head light to turn with the forks.

What are they using on the military bikes?

Military uses the same setup we have now. The KLR600 shroud does not move either. I don't think any of them will move with the forks.

cool

I kind of like the look of this KLR... Might check into how much trouble it would be to order the front kit, maybe some other parts. Anyone familiar with this process, or even this specific model?

Just found differences list... if anyone is interested

I tried to upload some pics that show the smaller fairing but I just couldn't make them 19kb.

Check out the KLR in this video. It uses a much smaller front fairing and the light moves with the forks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtcd1kSdlQY

The C model KLR is a really nice looking bike. Wish we could get them here.

I would be really interested to know what exactly is involved in converting to the KLR 600 style fairing, i.e. what new parts i'd have to buy, and what i lose in the conversion.

It must have a smaller speedo setup. But it does look like the fairing turns with the fork
