Still the same stalling issue.

I have an '87. It seems like it gets gas for a 15 seconds then stalls. I can restart it after waiting 5 seconds. I can continue this over and over. This happened after storing it for the winter here in International Falls, MN. I put gas stabilizer in it and shut the gas valve off and ran the gas out before storing it. I put in fresh gas I could use any help because the riding season isn't that long. I have now taken the carb off and cleaned the jets and the rest of the carb. I am still expierencing the same problem of stalling. A little more detail: It idles fine for about 3-5 seconds after starting then she idles high until it stalls. I can get a few revs in there sometimes. I also noticed that alot of the time a good amount of gas will drain out of the drain hose coming out of the left side of the carb. Any other suggestions. I also sprayed seafoam in the intake while running and let it shut down an sit.

Sounds like your float is out of adjustment. The fuel flowing out from the drain hose means the fuel bowl is overfilling. The float is not shutting the valve to cut off fuel. If this is true, the stalling would be from the engine getting too much fuel and fouling out. I bet your spark plug is black from fuel.

Here is a good link for the Keihin Carb:

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Pull the gas line off the carb and make sure you have a steady stream out of the tank. The petcock might be plugged.
