Unhappy gas leak

Hey out there I need some help. I am working on my klr that has been sitting in my garage for like 3 years. I removed the fuel from the gas tank(ihad to disconnect the fuel lines and remove the tank to emptyit). When i went to start the bike after i re connected the fuel lines, fuel is now squirting from the carb end of the line. The bike is still not running, (not getting fuel). I tried to prime it a few times, but when I turn it over the fuel leaks out from the fuel line. HELP!

OK, I might not completely understand, but if the end of the fuel line is leaking, you might need new fuel line, or cut enough off if you can to cure the issue.
As for no fuel, you do have the vacuum line attached to the rear of the petcock. This allows the valve to open in the petcock as the motor turns over to allow the fuel to flow. If all that is up to par, then you will probably need to remove the carb, clean the idle and main jets and passages and give that a try. After three years you probably have some nasty stuff in there not allowing the fuel to flow right.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.
