Fuel shutoff valve w/n pass fuel

I've checked all the screens, diaphrams, hoses, and carb port. Yet the dratted thing does not let gasoline flow to the carb.

What obvious thing am I missing?

TIA

Got gas? (he said with a grin). Actually, the vacuum hose at the back of the valve may be off or pinched or???

The vacuum hose is in good shape, no leaks and not pinched. The diaphram seems to be working all right.... I'm getting good at pulling/replacing that gas tank... More, more ideas!!!

Thanks for your input.

Just throwing out some ideas. Have you applied vacuum to the hose by either sucking on it or using a pump and watched to see if fuel will flow from the fuel line into a cup? The gas tank lid has a vent with some diaphragms that sometimes create a vacuum in the tank not allowing the fuel to flow also. These also create that hissing sound after you have ridden for awhile and shut off the engine and you can hear it pretty loudly. The diaphragms are easy to remove.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

I just cleaned the thing again... I'm going to put a vacuum pump on it and see what happens. Thanks
